Ok – upfront I’ll admit I love to read about parliamentary maneuvers achieving unexpected results. I confess too that I keep a copy of Robert’s Rules of Order on my bed stand. On nights that I want to drift off to sleep with happy thoughts, I’ll read a chapter from Robert’s little book.

I’m what you call a parlihistorian. Our goal is to preserve the unusual execution of parliamentary procedures. That is why the minutes from the Marshall Chamber of Commerce Board meeting disturbed me so much.
