ETCADA Displays 1200 Pairs of Shoes

Longview, TX, October 17, 2006: The East Texas Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (ETCADA) will display 1200 pairs of shoes as a part of its Red Ribbon Week celebration. The event, Project 1200, is a powerful visual display which demonstrates that each day, 1,200 people in the U.S. lose their lives from tobacco-related disease. The event will be from10:00 A.M. 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the corner of McCann and Glencrest in the Kmart parking lot, weather permitting.
