Top winners for the One Day in the Life of Downtown Marshall art contest will be announced at the gala Saturday, Oct. 14, at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Weisman Center, on the third floor. Organizers urge both art lovers and the public at large to attend. The event is being merged with Words and Voices this month, which will be free of charge to attendees. Musician Chris McCaa (Professor Porkchop) will perform his New Orleans-style sound. Light refreshments will be offered.
