Katie Jones is will to spend $100,000 of taxpayers money just to look at $10,000-$15,000 of expenditures. All the council has to do is get all the receits and look at all the expenditures. It shouldn’t take Mike Hallum, also a citizen, tell our council how the city needs to run its business. Even when it came to a vote, Katie Jones is still willing to spend $100,000. What sense does that make?

Actually the Chamber get about $115,000 per year. Since 2001, that amounts to about $600,000 dollars.

Receipts? That’s a little problem. The Chamber does not require its employees to submit receipts.

All that said – I do not think the CVD funds should be audited. That might set precedence. When Ray Enterprises takes over management of CVD funds, the last thing we want is an audit.
