We should thank Mike Hallam, a certified public accountant with the firm of Knuckols Duvall Hallam and Company, who Thursday night turned down sure money that would have been given his firm to do an audit of several years worth of spending by Convention and Visitor Development. Indeed, as we saw that the agenda item for the city commission included the possibility of an audit, the first question that came to mind was, Just what kind of audit would this be? Certain types of audits would be practically useless in determining whether CVD money had been spent incorrectly by the Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce.
