Billy Bob Ray Seeks Convention & Visitors Development Contract from the City

Encouraged by Marshall City Commissioners lack of action concerning charges of misuse of CVD funds by the Chamber, Mr. Billy Bob Ray has decide to actively pursue the CVD contract with the City. When reached by phone Mr. Ray said, Heck with no oversight by the City, this is better than a cost plus contract. Its perfect for a person of my character. Mr. Ray said when the Marshall News Messenger pointed out numerous questionable charges, Ms Ware responded: The city has never had a problem with anything we spent. Theyve never been fussy about categories. Mr. Ray said he thought she was pulling his leg. He said, After last nights City Commission meeting I recognized that her statement was accurate and that this contract was made for me. Mr. Ray said that he saw the MNM report: Johnson (Marshall City Manager) said he does not see any misuse of funds. Mr. Ray said he prefers dealing with City officials with bad eyesight so he thinks the CVD contract is just what he is looking for.
