Tempest Storm’s year contract called for so many weeks on then a few off and that is when we tried to do special events. A routine day was four to five live shows starting about 12:30 PM with the last show about 1 AM. We may have had two to three hours between shows and we would have an early dinner, do some shopping or just have a gabfest in the dressing room after interviews. There was always a high demand for stories or TV interviews.

I received a call from the Rotary Club in Sausalito requesting a lunch appearance. They wanted Tempest to talk about show business. I suggested they get the members to write questions on 5”x7” cards, sign their names, and we would read them at least a week in advance. This way Tempest and I could work on the answers with no surprises since the member’s name would be read and it would be one on one.
