Marshall Welcomes Lacey Stinson
contributed by Richard Moore
Marshall sure knows how to treat locals and welcome people from out of town. This sounds like a portion of the play Greater Tuna, but it is not funny when one is part of it.
Lacey Stinson of Ruston, Louisiana, is showing a large part of his works for the first time in Texas here in Marshall. He was greeted by a local artist telling him no nudes could be shownCity rule. That is not true and what I saw were done in an abstract or surrealist style. The paintings are not explicit and one could see more on TV or in a national magazine. Passing personal judgment on fellow artists, smacks of the worst form of censorship.
