BUDDY TURMAN ON HAND FOR BOOK SIGNING AT 2ND SATURDAY

Buddy Turman, once known as the Texas Tornado and The Golden Boy From Noonday, will be on hand for the signing of the newly released book, Buddy, The Life of Texas Boxing Legend, BuddyTurman. His brother, Joe Garner Turman is the author of the book The book signing will be in Marshall at The Wiseman Center, in front of Central Perks, from 9:00am to 1:00pm, on Saturday, 9 September. The book is about the legendary life of Turman when he was a boxing sensation in the fifties and sixties. Rex Walker, President of the North American Boxing Federation, spoke of the period of time when Buddy was an active boxer: Not only was Buddy a superstar in East Texas, but also the whole state of Texas embraced him.
