Richard Moore: REEL PEOPLE -- Tempest Storm
Welcome to the first addition of Reel People. May you find it interesting with inside stories on the men and women of the world of film, stage and television.

My moods may swing into other areas at times from food to travel, fashion to local dirt, mixed in with some good East Texas gossip served without malice or slander or names. But, I promise you will know for whom I speak.

Of all the show people I have met the question I receive the most is, “How did you meet Tempest Storm?” For those who live in a vacuum, Tempest was and is the all time Red Headed Diva of burlesque---okay, let’s say stripper---which is America’s original art form.

I met the “Storm” in 1952 at Pender’s newsstand on Rusk Street, as she was a very popular cover girl. Never ever thought we would become best friends and she would be my houseguest while she wrote her book, “The Lady is a Vamp.”
