Marshall is having company for the Labor Day weekend, according to Geraldine Mauthe.

Ms. Mauthe, director of convention and visitor development for the city of Marshall, said the streets of Marshall could take on a look of yesteryear as vintage automobiles arrive in town for a rally while horses and riders will be the order of the day at Marshall City Arena.

"The Dallas Model A Club is due here Saturday and we expect about 65 cars," Ms. Mauthe said. The cars and drivers will be traveling from Dallas on U.S. Highway 80 and are slated to line North Washington Avenue from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today.
