Assistant City Manager Janet Cook remembers being visited by Patsy Dreesen but not the details of the meeting.

A story published earlier this week reported:

“Ms. Dreesen said that six months before she quit her job she went to Assistant City Manager Janet Cook and reported the problems. She said although no action was taken, that Ms. Cook told her that the City was well aware that there was a problem.”

In a telephone interview with Ms. Cook on Wednesday she said she remembered the visit by Ms. Dreesen but could not recall the specifics of the conversation. Ms. Cook said she believes that the topic of travel funds was mentioned but does not recall any specifics.

Ms. Cook was asked if she was aware of any discussions at the city hall concerning the elimination of the Convention and Visitor Development (CVD) Director position. She said, “no”.
