U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison kicked off her 2006 Re-election Bus Tour with a stop in Marshall. Hutchison, joined by her husband Ray and two children, Bailey and Houston, offered her statewide track record of accomplishments as proof that she is a “Senator for all Texans” and said that she would continue to fight if re-elected for all Texas families and all Texas communities.

Hutchison spoke to local supporters about her accomplishments for the Lone Star State, including her work this past year on hurricane funding relief (bringing an estimated $700 million to Texas) and protection of Texas military bases and installations from closure. The Senator also highlighted her work towards abolishing the death tax, making recent tax cuts permanent, improving our healthcare and educational systems and passing real immigration reform that focuses on border security first.
