U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison will visit Marshall Monday as part of her 2006 re-election bus tour.

She will stop at 2:45 p.m. Monday at Weisman Center at 211 N. Washington Ave.

Harrison County Republican Party Chairman Sam Moseley said the event will offer an opportunity for area residents to both hear from her and offer their input on issues.

"Sen. Hutchison has been a big supporter of renovation going on in downtown Marshall for years," Moseley said. "She's also been a strong advocate for our depot and for Amtrak."

He said the event is open to the public.
