Marshall's Tourism Task Force and Steering Committee is back on track after clearing up a little confusion with the contractor for tourism assessment at the second day of a special called meeting Tuesday, said project manager Ron Munden.
"The main focus of the meeting today was to clarify the primary point of contact between the tourism task force and the Destination Development (Inc.) contractor that's going to be working on the tourism study," said Munden after the meeting held in the Preservation Center at Memorial City Hall Annex.
Tuesday's meeting was a continuation of discussion on Monday, which was initiated by a July 19 letter from city manager Frank Johnson to Destination Development, Inc. The letter was intended to specify Destination Development's contact person during the company's contract with the city for tourism planning services.
"It provided some confusion as to who Destination Development was going to coordinate their work through," Munden said, speaking of the letter.
