Local resident Grady Lee accused planning and community director Winston Robinson Thursday of threatening him after Lee made an inquiry about a burned house in his neighborhood.
"Last Friday I came in Mr. Robinson's office and asked him about house," situations, Lee said.
One of the questions was about the status of a burned down house on College and Houston Streets, which Lee said the code enforcement officer had told him would be taken care of by June 23. The other regarded checking on storage units still on the lot of Bishop and West Rusk Street. City commissioners recently denied the applicant's request to operate the units, and Lee had also spoke in opposition of them.
Lee said after asking Robinson to send code enforcement officers to the site, the conversation led to Robinson questioning him about possible violations with his Bed and Breakfast business operated out of his home.
