Jefferson's Opera House Theatre Players will hold their Annual Meeting and Ynot Awards Banquet on Fri, Aug 4, beginning 6 pm at the Stillwater Inn in Jefferson.

The dinner is held each year to elect board members and officers as well as to announce the Ynot Award winners for the season's best actress and actor; best suporting actress and actor; best production; best all-around worker of the season; and new this year a "rising star" selection that will go to a young actor. Members of the group have been sent ballots in advance and the votes will be tallied before the banquet so that Ynot Awards may be presented during the evening.

Also to he announced is the selection of the Lucille M. Terry Cultural and Performing Arts Award for the person or entity who has best supported the community theatre group during the past season. This selection is made by the board of directors for the theatre. Additionally, the winner of a $250 scholarship will be announced to a graduating student who has participated in drama.

Tickets for the banquet are $25 per person and the general public is invited. All actors who were in plays during the 2005-2006 season are urged to attend. Tickets and infornmation is available by call 903-665-8243. The deadline for purchases or reservations is Aug. 2.
