“Jefferson Wins Award”

The city of Jefferson was recently named The Best City on East Texas Experience FAM Tour. Thirty bus-tour operators from 18 companies and 23 states – including Iowa, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, Minnesota, Missouri, Alabama, Illinois, Oklahoma and Louisiana – voted on the award.

The award was presented May 11 at the 43rd Annual East Texas Tourism Association Conference held in Beaumont.

The East Texas Tourism Association is the nation’s oldest member-funded organization and publishes the East Texas Vacation Guide, East Texas Heritage Trail, Fun Map, East Texas Group Tour Manual and maintains a Web site www.easttexasguide.com
