U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Scott Flynn is a warrior.
The 21-year-old Marshall native returned home last week, bearing scars from nearly-fatal wounds he obtained during a mission in Iraq, with a new perspective on life and increased pride in serving his country.
"I have a different outlook on life," Flynn, a 2002 Marshall High graduate, said in an interview Friday at his grandparents' home. "I don't dwell on any of the small things. Life is going to be easy after all I've been through."
