By ROBIN Y. RICHARDSON, News Messenger In a 6-0-1 vote, commissioners named Jack Hester as mayor pro tempore of the city commission Thursday night during their regular meeting at City Hall. "I appreciate the commissioners having confidence in me to do this," Hester said. "I'll do the best I can when the mayor is not around."
