Jim Pedison, the son of Greek immigrants who ran the Ginocchio Hotel, shared his childhood memories of growing up near the Texas & Pacific Railway yards during Tuesday night's Discussions at the Depot series.
Pedison's speech is one in a series featuring railroad-related topics, brought by those with expertise in the field.
"One of my earliest memories of growing up down here was of taking box lunches to the troops in World War II and the Korean war," Pedison told a standing-room-only audience gathered in the Depot Museum board room.
