For the better part of 50 years Deloris Munden has been an avid gardener. Most of these years were spend in Virginia and California. She had not experienced the real challenges of gardening until she moved to Marshall almost 5 years ago. The first challenge was the fire ants. Until relocating to Texas Deloris had always encountered sissy ants -- just a little sting and it was gone. The first time that she discovered mounds of pus-filled, itching, red bumps on her legs, feet and hands, she recognized she was in Texas-- home of the manly fire ant no girly-man ant in this state.
