A Short trip on Steam Locomotive #844

Locomotive No. 844 is the last steam locomotive built for Union Pacific Railroad. It was delivered in 1944. It is a high-speed passenger engine and it pulled such well-known trains as the Overland Limited, Los Angeles Limited, Portland Rose and Challenger trains. On Wednesday, May 24, 2006 a small group of people boarded the train in Marshall and rode it to Jefferson. It was a trip back in time and a unique experience for all.
