Six couples, five individuals, one university and one church were presented with 2006 certificates of appreciation Sunday, chosen because the Marshall Historic Landmark Preservation Board believes they have done outstanding jobs restoring/preserving local buildings and neighborhoods, among others.
Winners fell into categories from restoration of an historic building to adaptive reuse of an historic building, to exterior painting, to new construction in an historic area.
Curtis Graff was given his certificate for "Outstanding achievement in historic preservation," recognizing him for several projects.
