The Main Street board still lacks a representative to serve on the tourism steering committee due to the absence of a full quorum to vote on an appointee at Tuesday's meeting in the Preservation Center at Memorial City Hall Annex.
A full quorum was present before board member George Huffman dismissed himself to go to another appointment shortly after the board began discussing their nominations.
Henry Bradbury nominated Bo Ellis, Main Street director, to serve on the committee, which is designed to solicit involvement in tourism and is responsible for implementing a tourism plan.
