JEFFERSON WINS FIRST PLACE AWARD

The City of Jefferson was recently named the Best City on the East Texas Experience FAM Tour (Familiarization Tour) conducted in February, 2006. Voting on the prestigious award were 30 bus tour operators from 18 companies and twelve states including Iowa, Texas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Kentucky, Mississippi, Minnesota, Missouri, Alabama, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. The award was presented May 11 at the 43rd Annual East Texas Tourism Association Conference in Beaumont.
