Local artist's works fill a last-minute void at Marshall Visual Art Center
By BRIDGETTE R. OUTTEN, News Messenger
Local artist Dennis O'Bryant is back at the Visual Arts Center with a show displaying his paintings and sculptures, which features nearly 30 pieces for Marshallites' viewing and purchasing pleasure.
The show is running until June 2.
O'Bryant's current exhibit his third one-man show at MVAC was not planned; but the 46-year-old sculptor/welder/painter stepped in and saved the day when another artist had to cancel due to illness.
"I probably had approaching a hundred paintings and sculptures somewhere around in my house," O'Bryant said, explaining he keeps inventory of his work on the advice of well-known painter and friend, the late Clyde Connell. "So that's a critical element."
