Texas Health Officials are concerned enough to host a four day International and Southwest Conference this summer to discuss diseases transmitted from animal to man. The meeting will include health officials, physicians, veterinarians, game warden, nurses, wildlife officials plus any other person concerned with animal and human health. This all sounds far away from Marshall; however to be able to tract diseases from animals the ID program needs to start somewhere. Our elected officials assume a large responsibility by opposing those who have higher education in public health plus continuing research in animal diseases related to human health concerns.
