The Speak Out that called Marshall a Southern Baptist town and selling out for drinking establishments was a classic. This should be read and discussed everywhere. If the people who wrote this would raise their head from the constant prayer at every meeting they would see the multitude of other religions among those who live in Marshall.

How dare you label your beliefs over the people of this town! The religious leaders of this town need a backbone transplant, stand-up and say, ”back-off.”

I have called Marshall a backwater town and this is why. No one wants to make waves, so they sit back and let the waves of the narrow-minded control wash over and wonder why nothing ever gets done. Don’t stand by and get bullied. The phone lines of Speak Out! should be over-loaded against this kind of mind set.
