Marshall's Tourism Task Force steering committee Wednesday approved a request for proposals to be sent to 15 tourism consultants.
The request for proposals lists what the city wants in way of services and asks they respond by May 30.
A task force spokesman expects to make a recommendation to Marshall commissioners by June 22, during its second monthly meeting.
The document informs consultants the city wants a consultant or consulting firm which will develop a short-term and long-term tourism plan, which includes identifying the tourism markets on which the city should focus, identify opportunities to increase tourism with other communities and create a "branding image" the city can use.
