Visual Artists in the Harrison, Marion, and Panola County region invited to enter for chance to win $1500 award prize as part of MRAC’s upcoming summer membership drive

Visual artists from the Harrison, Marion, and Panola County region are invited to enter the Marshall Regional Arts Council’s second annual “Great East Texas Arts Competition” which will take place at the Marshall Visual Art Center on Thursday evening, June 8, 2006.

The Arts Council —with the gracious assistance of the Marshall Visual Art Center-- initiated the juried arts competition last summer as a way to provide an opportunity for fine visual artists in our region to exhibit a piece of art as part of a juried competition. The competition also provides artists a chance to win a $1,500 award prize from the Arts Council.
