Entergy Manager Ed Trump talked to the Marshall Metro Rotary Club Monday, and talked about Entergys last eleven months rebuilding their plant after the pipeline explosion. Monday April 17 was their FIRST DAY BACK IN PRODUCTION. The pipeline explosion last May 16 burned for four hours due to the 20 miles of gas pipeline filled with pressurized gas. The intense heat destroyed 60% of the plant, including the cooling tower, all above ground electrical wiring, the water treatment plant, and emissions monitoring equipment. Two employees were injured, but soon recovered.
