Tuskegee Airmen Will Visit Wiley College
Marshall, TX - The Wiley College National Aeronautics and Space Administration/Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Aerospace Academy (NASA/SEMAA) will host a community-wide welcome for Congressional Medal of Honor awardees, the famed Tuskegee Airmen on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Wiley-Pemberton Complex on the Wiley campus. Tuskegee Airmen from the Dallas area will talk about their heroic efforts during World War II as members of the 99th and 100th Squadron, the only all-Black flying squadron of the war.

Attendees will include Corporal Donald Elder, crew chief for the 99th Squadron; Sgt. John Flanagan, communications technician; Col. Lloyd McKeethan, pilot; Flight Officer Robert T. McDaniel; Captain Claude R. Platte, primary flight instructor and Lt. Calvin J. Spann, a pilot who flew 26 combat missions over Italy.
