The Weisman Center, downtown’s hub of activity, will play host to the first quarter Connections 2006 on Tuesday, April 18 from 5:30 – 7:00. A light refreshment will be provided by Main Street and The Downtown Association.

During this Connections 2006 attendees can expect to hear a brief explanation and of course promotion from: Bo Ellis, Main Street Manager, Richard Anderson, Downtown Development Corporation, and Jim Bates, The Downtown Association who is co-sponsoring this Connections 06’. In addition, Janet Cook with the City of Marshall will speak about the progress being made toward redevelopment of the Old City Hall Building and Ann Dennis will bring information regarding the Court House restoration. Each quarter representatives of various Marshall organizations will gather for an informal sharing of information. Quoting Mr. Carter, “often it is difficult to keep up with what each organization is doing; what is on their calendar; what special projects they each have going on. Main Street Connections provides an open forum designed for cooperative scheduling and marketing. If everyone is working toward a common goal - redevelopment and growth - then we must design a clearinghouse of information.
