The show features ordinary people doing extraordinary things and highlighted Ms. Patrick’s Jefferson business Beauty and the Book, the first hair salon/book store in the country, her International Book Club, the Pulpwood Queens which has chapters throughout the United States and now Canada and Scotland, and had her talking about her first book that will be published, “The Pulpwood Queens’ Tiara Wearing, Book Sharing Guide to Life” by Time/Warner Book Group. The Pulpwood Queens of East Texas Book Club meeting was filmed with Pulpwood Queens in attendance of a covered dish dinner from Marshall, Henderson, Linden, Texarkana, Hooks, New Boston, Texas and Shreveport, Louisiana. Visiting author was Kathleen Hughes of “Dear Mrs. Lindbergh” and traveled all the way from Rhode Island for this book club meeting.
