I must admit I am confused.

On last Thursday the City Commission agenda contained the item:

“Resolution

Consider approval of the Resolution establishing a policy of the City Commission that all approved boards, commissions, and committees will be subject to the requirements of the open Meetings Act.”

This resolution was passed at the meeting.

If all committees were already required to operate under the Open Meeting Act, why did the City Commission need to pass the resolution?
