League of Women Voters: No Texas Teacher left Behind

One set of their constituents, calling themselves "One set of their constituents, calling themselves "No Texas Teacher left Behind," will be particularly vigilant on April 17 when Governor Rick Perry convenes yet another special session of the Texas Legislature to "fix" the states method of funding public education. Its a job that has to be done before June 1 or the courts will do it instead. Organizers of the troubled teachers group will be provided a platform by the Marshall/Harrison County League of Women Voters on Thursday, March 30. The public meeting, which begins at 7:00 p.m., will be at the Lions Community Center on Poplar Street.
