Why am I judged by the clothes I wear? I went into a department store yesterday wearing sweats and a baseball cap. I got so little respect. I went back very well-dressed with make-up, my hair was styled very nice and I got a lot of respect in questioning about the same merchandise.

It’s the make-up. When I go into a store wearing heavy makeup,I get much more attention – regardless of the clothes I am wearing. This is particularly true when I approach the cosmetic counter.
