As the sunny and warm weather harkens everyone outside, don't forget that once again Second Saturday is around the corner. Now a monthly institution for downtown Marshall, this event features a variety of vendors hawking wares along the sidewalks of North Washington Avenue.

Downtown merchants also participate in the event with special discounts and sidewalk sales.

"Oh yes, we love Second Saturday because it does bring people downtown and we like to see new faces," said Gail Brown, owner of the Paper Garden in The Design Center.

She will have some of her stationary and invitations on sale, and The Design Center will feature jam and jelly tasting and a number of items will be displayed outside at discounted prices.
