From 15 to 20 people have complained to her about cat-related smells permeating the Greater Marshall Chamber of Commerce building on Austin Street, Marshall Commissioner Katie Jones said Wednesday.
Chamber visitors have also complained about cat hair on chamber furniture and related allergies, Ms. Jones said.
Those upset about the situation have chosen to complain to her rather to Chamber Director Connie Ware, Ms. Jones said, adding she addressed the issue with Ms. Ware two weeks ago and Ms. Ware promised her something would be done about the cats.
"But I am still getting complaints the cats are still there," Ms. Jones said.
