Study on eating deer taken at Caddo Lake Wildlife now available

The United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) asked the Texas Department of State health Service (DSHS) to review alalyses of muscle and liver samples collected from white tailed deer on the Caddo Lake National Wildfile Refuge (NWR). The report concludes by stating if deer hunting if allowed, then eating muscle from deer taken from Caddo lake NWR would pose no apparent public health hazard.
