Commissioner Greer and Painted Ladies have a different vision of the best use of Longhorn land.

In the future, Commissioner Greer sees a Korean car plant on the Longhorn land. (please listen to his sound clip) He admits the land may sit there for a 100 years before it happens, but we need to be ready.

A spokesperson for the Harrison County Chapter of the Painted Ladies of America sees it very differently. It is reported that they already have an option on land adjacent to the Longhorn property and are looking for about 1000 acres of the remaining land for a National conference. They say that they are ready to proceed with their project as soon as they get the OK.
