A celebration of wildflowers takes place in Linden, Avinger, and Hughes Springs each year—three towns connected by the colorful winding roads of East Texas. The 2006 Festival is bigger and better than ever with legendary songwriter and performer Michael Martin Murphey serving as Grand Marshal for this Texas sized event. The weekend will be packed full of arts and crafts, the 6th Annual Cass County Championship Rodeo, open mic performances of every musical genre, the best in Festival foods, a kid's carnival, and an exclusive concert by Murphey at the Music City Texas Theater in Linden. To top the weekend off, an explosive fireworks display is set to follow the “singing cowboy poet” and the entire Wildflower Trails experience.
