Stan Hodge the Director, Travel Research for States Office of Tourism literally had a fireside chat at the Caddo Lake State Park on Wednesday evening.
He discussed the benefits derived from teaming arrangement between towns in this area. Representatives both the Caddo Lake Area Chamber and Tourism and the Marshall Chamber of Commerce were present for the meeting.
Mr. Hodge provided valuable information on economic benefit of tourism to the local communities.
He also discussed the advantages of the extended stay and why strong teaming arrangements are critical to achieving this objective.
Mr. Hodges visit was arranged for by Mr. Henry Brandbury in coordination with the Marshall Main Street Program. Additional meetings are scheduled in the Marshall area on both Thursday and Friday.
