County wins suit against restoration company

Harrison County has won its case against a Sulphur Springs firm hired to restore windows at the Historic Courthouse, County Judge Wayne McWhorter said Monday.
Arbitrator Joe Clayton said in his ruling that HOPCO, the firm which worked on the windows, must pay Harrison County $21,000 in net damages, must pay attorney's fees totaling $111,700, arbitration fees of $5,628, deposition fees of $5,349, expert witness fees of $10,165, copying fees of $541, less $1,500 for a discovery sanction.
