Foreign exchange teacher Irina Tyalleva from the Ukraine, hopes to take a piece of America with her once her foreign exchange tenure ends here next week.

"I want to show my students the real life in America," she said.

The college professor, who teaches different aspects of English (oral practice, academic writing and text analysis) at Sebastopol University of Humanities in Sebastopol, came to Texas five weeks ago with three others through the Rotary International Exchange Program. Since her arrival in Marshall, she's visited the public schools and colleges, which she said impressed her.

"Our task is to observe as many schools and classes as we can and compare our system of education with America's and find (techniques) to improve our system," she said.
