Hughes Appointed to FutureGen Legislative Task Force

AUSTIN - Speaker of the House Tom Craddick (R-Midland) appointed Rep. Bryan Hughes (R-Mineola) to the FutureGen Legislative Task Force. The Task Force is responsible for informing the Legislature of the progress of the FutureGen project as well as coordinating with state leaders to prepare Texas' proposal to the US Department of Energy. Rep. Hughes and Sen. Craig Estes (R-Wichita Falls) will co chair the Task Force. "Rep. Hughes has taken a leading role in this major statewide energy project, and I'm pleased to appoint him to this Task Force," Speaker Craddick said. "His leadership and drive will help Texas secure this project, resulting in thousands of new jobs for Texans and clean, inexpensive energy for the future."
