A FREE FISH FRY and LIVE ENTERTAINMENT will be provided, which is guaranteed to draw a crowd to enjoy the first ever Caddo Lake Amateur Stump Speech contest.

“Professional” speakers – i.e. politicians and candidates – will also be featured.

All speakers will be limited to 5 MINUTES ON THE STUMP and must speak on the subject of Caddo Lake. Trophies will be awarded for best and honorable mention categories.

As of this writing, historians are working to verify it, but it is highly probable that the VERY FIRST STUMP SPEECH MEETING EVER HELD IN TEXAS HAPPENED within a few hundred yards or so of where we will be recreating this event.
