We Ask Justice Ben Z. Grant to Preside & Seek a Deadline to Release “Hold”

The Greater Caddo Lake Association (GCLA), representing some 1,100 plus members from this area, all over Texas, and other parts of the country, is an organization whose sole purpose is the protection of Caddo Lake. Our motto “Keep Caddo Natural” has been part of this organization since it was founded in 1978.

We are not anti-industry. We are not anti-anything. We are PRO Caddo Lake and the Big Cypress Watershed that flows into the lake and wetlands.

We have always supported, and will continue to support, the transfer of all former Longhorn Army Ammunition Plant land to the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) for inclusion in the new Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge.

Recently, the orderly transfer of that land from the U.S. Army to FWS has been halted by a Congressional Inquiry initiated by Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and Congressman Louie Gohmert.
