At the gate, we were greeted by Lu Anne Looking, Executive Director of CLIP, who asked that we excuse the look of the place. She said, “They just finished cutting the last remaining pulp wood, and they are always so messy.”

Ms. Looking quickly explained that they have had difficultly getting businesses to locate in the park. She said that a couple of businesses considered locating in the park but they insisted on a site visit. After the first visit the deals went sour.

She smiled and said “But I just feel that something good is going to happen real soon.”

When we asked what she considered her biggest problem? She quickly responded "The Longview Economic Development Corporation" (LEDCO).
